Enjoy learning the skills of applying gold leaf with exquisite effect and painting with gouache using a fine brush to create your own illuminated initial.
You'll be carefully guided through the process of tracing down, gilding, decorating, and detailing to produce a beautifully finished handmade letter to take home with you. We will be creating beautiful Gothic-style letters with graded colour and embellishing them with golden ribbon flourishes in gold leaf with subtle touches to finish them off. Although we will start with a basic outline, you will choose your letter, the feature colour, and the fine decorative accents. It will make the completed initial uniquely yours.
