Enjoy learning the skills of applying gold leaf with exquisite effect and painting with gouache using a fine brush to create your own illuminated initial.
You'll be carefully guided through the process of tracing down, gilding, decorating and detailing to produce a beautifully finished handmade letter to take home with you. We will be working on Roman capitals decorated in a White Vine style. The letters will be gilded and embellished in three colours with simple but perfect finishing touches. The designs are based on illuminations from fifteenth century Italian manuscripts. Suitable for any level of ability. All materials are included in the price.
