Enjoy learning the skills of applying gold leaf with exquisite effect and painting with gouache using a fine brush to create your own illuminated initial. We will be working on initials created by Owen Jones, an influential Victorian designer who created a magnificently embellished alphabet with numerous foliated and filigreed variations for each letter. You'll be carefully guided through the process of tracing down, gilding, decorating and detailing to produce a beautifully finished handmade letter. Suitable for all levels of ability.
