Regular Copperplate Classes
live online via Zoom
live online via Zoom
This is a great opportunity to study this beautiful and elegant script live online via Zoom.
I have been running these classes for few years now and they continue to be very popular.
All levels are welcome.
From absolute beginners to those with a basic knowledge of Copperplate wishing to progress and also intermediate and more advanced learners.
The informal sessions are built around the ability levels of the students taking part and such a mix of skills adds to the depth (and often the speed) of learning.
They are stand-alone sessions and students can join on any date and for any number of classes. However, regular attendance is encouraged for continuity and steady improvement.

COMMENTS from my lovely students! Thank you all.
"I have done both class and online tutorials with Julie and would thoroughly recommend both. Julie makes her sessions relaxed, friendly and informative, I look forward to the online tutorials each week. Julie gives each of the participants support and positive feedback on their work and is very patient in answering any questions we have. I have learnt so much".
"I can thoroughly recommend this online workshop. Julie is an excellent teacher with a comfortable, friendly approach. She explains clearly how to form the letters, and with the camera focused on her writing, it is easy to follow her pen strokes. The session is quite informal and is well-paced, so there is a real sense of achievement at the end".
"I have been teaching myself Copperplate from a book for the last few months and was absolutely delighted to discover Julie's class. "Book learning" can only take you so far so it was brilliant to be able to see how to form the letters, both capital and lowercase, and have some homework so I can put it all into practice. Brilliant".
Julie is a great tutor with amazing, inspiring talent. The group are lovely, friendly and helpful, sharing tips and advice. I was concerned initially joining an established course as a beginner but I was made to feel incredibly welcome. There is no pressure as everyone is at different levels and goes at their own pace. Zoom is brilliant and Julie's set up means you get a bird's eye view when she demonstrates. The flexibility is really helpful as you don't have to commit to booking a block of classes. It's a beautiful skill to learn and completely absorbing. I love the simplicity that all you need is pen, ink and paper.
